The University of Louisville is seeking an experienced and service-oriented Applications Administrator IV (Google Workspace & AI Services Administrator) to oversee the Google for Higher Education platform, with emphasis on Google Gemini, NotebookLM, and additional Google AI and productivity services. This position will serve as a primary technical resource for Google Workspace administration, enablement of AI tools, and end-user support, empowering faculty, staff, and teams to effectively and securely utilize Google AI technologies and workspace capabilities.
The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced proficiency in Google Workspace administration and Google AI services, complemented by a customer-centric approach and the ability to translate complex cloud and AI functionalities into actionable, supported solutions. Experience with K-12 Google Administration is a plus.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
Administer, configure, and provide end-user support for Google Gemini, NotebookLM, Workspace productivity tools, and related Google services.
Serve as a subject-matter expert on the responsible and efficient use of Google Workspace and AI tools, including best practices, data management, and security protocols.
Develop and maintain documentation, training resources, and knowledge-based articles pertaining to Google services.
Collaborate with stakeholders to assess new Google AI and Workspace features and provide recommendations for adoption.
Monitor usage, performance, and costs, and advise on optimization strategies.
Assist in enforcing cloud security controls, compliance requirements, and policies.
Support integrations between Google-based tools and other enterprise systems.
Work closely with IT security, data, application, and infrastructure teams to ensure that Google services are deployed in accordance with enterprise technology standards.
Participate in the planning, testing, and implementation of new Google Cloud services and features.
Remain informed about Google Workspace for Higher Education and AI developments, roadmaps, and emerging best practices.
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
