The Liu Laboratory in the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at Yale School of Medicine is seeking highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellows and Postgraduate Researchers to join an interdisciplinary research program focused on musculoskeletal diseases, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, and neurodegenerative disorders.
Position 1: Postdoctoral Fellow
Qualifications:
- PhD, MD, or equivalent degree in biology, biomedical sciences, neuroscience, immunology, pharmacology, bioengineering, or a related field
- Strong background in molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, animal models, neuroscience, or translational research
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and publish in peer-reviewed journals
Responsibilities:
- Lead independent and collaborative research projects
- Design and execute in vitro and in vivo experiments
- Analyze data, prepare manuscripts, and present findings at scientific meetings
- Contribute to grant writing and mentoring of junior trainees
Position 2: Postgraduate Researcher / Associate
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant life science or biomedical field
- Strong motivation to pursue research-oriented training
- Willingness to work with animal models and learn advanced experimental techniques
Responsibilities:
- Perform molecular, cellular, histological, and immunological experiments
- Assist with animal studies and data analysis
- Support ongoing projects and contribute to manuscripts
- Gain hands-on training in translational biomedical research
