Position Summary
The laboratory of Dr. Lili Wang in the Division of Hematology & Oncology at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking postdoctoral fellows to join our team. Our research focuses on how dysregulation of RNA metabolism drives the development of blood cancers. We are looking for curious, motivated scientists who are eager to advance this exciting field. Minimum Qualifications
• An M.D. or Ph.D. degree in molecular biology, cancer biology, immunology, or a related discipline is required
• Understanding fundamental RNA biology such as splicing or modification is required
• Understanding immunology and cancer biology is preferred
• Familiar with murine models is preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated, independent and creative
Responsibilities
• Conduct independent and collaborative research on RNA metabolism dysregulation and oncogenesis.
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments.
• Publish results in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and present findings at conferences.
• Assist in the preparation of research proposals and grant applications.
• Mentor and provide guidance to graduate and undergraduate students.
• Collaborate with internal and external research partners.
