Job Description
The Li Lab in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the Tulane University School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our NIH-funded research program investigating cGAS–STING immune signaling in tumorigenesis. Our work aims to elucidate fundamental mechanisms by which the cGAS–STING pathway regulates tumor development and to advance next-generation cancer immunotherapies. We employ integrated biochemical, molecular, multi-omics, and mouse genetic approaches, including conditional knockout and knock-in models. Representative publications from the lab include Nature Communications (2017), Journal of Experimental Medicine (2017), Cell Stem Cell (2020), and Communications Biology (2022).
Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in immunology, cancer biology, or a related field. Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
1. Strong expertise in, or a strong interest in, cancer immunology
2. Hands-on experience with flow cytometry (required) and mouse-based studies (required), such as tumor models, conditional KO/KI systems, adoptive cell transfer, and immune cell isolation
3. Proficiency in tissue culture, molecular cloning, and Western blotting
4. Excellent communication skills, collaborative spirit, and a strong commitment to rigorous and reproducible research
Compensation
Tulane University offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
How to Apply
Please submit a single PDF to Dr. Shitao Li ([email protected]) containing a curriculum vitae, a one-page summary of past research accomplishments and future research interests, an expected start date, and contact information for three professional references.
