Job Description
We seek a postdoctoral scientist with expertise in electrodeposition science and technology. Exposure to microelectronics applications is desirable, as is familiarity with progamming and interfacing hardware. Extensive experimental experience is essential. The scientist will join a DOE funded project that explores the use of AI and autonomous techniques for materials discovery. The project involves an exciting approach to agentic, fully autonomous thin film development using a combination of automated electroplating, in-operando measurements, and AI driven algorithms. He or she will work with a team of scientists with extensive microelectronics (materials and devices), AI, computational materials science and materials characterization expertise; and will be expected to bring the electrochemical expertise. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in materials science, chemistry, physics, electrical engineering or a related field.
Position Requirements
Ph.D. in materials science, chemistry, physics, electrical engineering or a related field. Extensive experimental expertise is essential. Additionally, expertise in the modeling of electrochemical processes is highly desirable. 0-3 years past Ph.D. work experience is desirable.

Full timeThe expected hiring range for this position is $70,758.00-$117,925.00.Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as, but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, business considerations, internal equity, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
