Job Description
The Jia Laboratory at Xuanwu Hospital Capital Medical University is seeking a highly motivated and conscientious postdoctoral researcher with a background in biomedical engineering or biotechnology, and additional expertise in computational biology or immunology would be a strong advantage.
The core objective of the program is to design and produce multi-target vaccines against Alzheimer’s disease (AD), while simultaneously conducting cohort-based studies to explore immune correlates of protection, disease-modifying effects, and applicability. Through a combination of cohort studies and laboratory research, the lab places a particular emphasis on exploring the mechanisms of immunity and inflammation in AD. The research spans from fundamental biological investigations to highly translational bench-to-bedside studies, with several clinical trials already underway. The candidate will join a growing research group focused on AD, integrating expertise in neurology, neuroscience, immunology, and biomedical engineering. In addition, building on the support of Neurology Department of Xuanwu Hospital, the lab has been contributing to the establishment of large prospective study cohorts and has obtained significant findings, with results published in leading journals such as The New England Journal of Medicine, The Lancet, and The BMJ.
