Job Description
Summary
Dr. Mihail Chelu’s lab is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to work on an NIH-funded project. The Chelu Lab integrates mouse models, human tissue, stem cell models, and single-cell multi-omics to advance precision medicine. We place a particular emphasis on understanding mechanisms of cardiac arrhythmias to identify more effective and targeted therapies. We apply cutting-edge technologies in our research and are dedicated to mentoring the next generation of scientists.
The postdoctoral fellow will lead innovative research projects focused on studying the molecular mechanisms of arrhythmias with emphasis on conduction system diseases. To identify these pathways, the postdoctoral fellow will use mouse models for different diseases, human tissue, human iPSC-derived pacemaker-like cells and cutting-edge approaches, including single-cell RNA-sequencing, calcium imaging, and electrophysiology assays.
