Job description
The Gravekamp lab at Albert Einstein college of Medicine in New York (location in the Bronx), is looking for a candidate who may qualify, based on experience for a postdoctoral position. Our lab is focused on the development and testing of Listeria-based therapies against pancreatic cancer and ovarian cancer, and on monitoring Listeria in vivo. Listeria will be used as a platform to deliver anticancer agents to the tumors and metastases such as radioactivity, neoantigen surrogates, or immune stimulators.
Responsibilities and qualifications:
• Design and implement experiments to study Listeria-based immunotherapies in mice
• Analyzing immune responses in the tumor microenvironment by flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, ELISPOT
• Working with radioactivity (18FDG)
• Generating Listeria-based vaccine batches including quality controls
• Tissue culture
• Basic techniques in cell and molecular biology such as RNA solation, plasmid isolation
• Confocal Microscopy
• Excellent communication skills and collaborating with others

Minimum education: PhD
