Job Description
Summary
A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Hui Zheng in the Huffington Center on Aging at Baylor College of Medicine. The individual will work on projects funded by multiple NIH grants, including but not limited to lysosome regulation, lipid metabolism, and neuroinflammation, using mouse models and in vitro cell cultures.
Job Duties
- Conducts independent research using mouse models and cell cultures.
- Uses techniques, such as:
- qPCR,
- transfection,
- Western blotting,
- immunostaining,
- flow cytometry.
- Worksin the Zheng laboratory but interacts and collaborates with other scientists at the Huffington Center on Aging and Baylor College of Medicine.
- Makes presentations at various meetings and also help the PI to train graduate students.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
- No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- The applicant should have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree with expertise in biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, neuroscience and mouse modeling.
