Baylor College of Medicine, one of the top ranked medical schools in the country, is well known for its exceptional, innovative, and collaborative research environment. We are currently recruiting postdoctoral fellows with backgrounds in metabolism and gene regulation to work in our laboratory (Cell Metabolism. 34:1932-1946, 2022). The candidate will likely use a combination of genetic mouse models, flow cytometry, and cell culture to explore how chronic HIV infection and anti-retroviral therapies alter energy balance. The lab provides an interactive and stimulating environment as well as opportunities for growth and career development. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, well organized, manage time effectively, and have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The ideal candidate will be required to conduct experimental research, design one or more specific phases of entire projects, and publish manuscripts as a lead author.
