The position will involve completing development of novel methods to map the brain extracellular microenvironment by comprehensive proteomics and tissue imaging proteomics. The candidate will use multimodal multiplexed mass spectrometry imaging to define the tissue microenvironment linked to quantified levels of AD plaques and dementia scoring. Candidate will develop expertise in the brain extracellular microenvironment, proteomics tissue imaging, spatial statistics, and machine learning. A background in neurobiology is desired. Expertise in animal models vs human disease is a plus.
