Job Description
The Department of Molecular and Translational Medicine in the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso seeks 4 highly motivated Post-Doctoral candidates, two in the Center of Emphasis in Cancer and two in the Center or Emphasis in Infectious Disease. Candidates for these positions are expected have a Ph.D. in the area of project specialization, knowledge or modern research practices in Biological Sciences and a strong background in immunology, small animal research, cell culture, and flow cytometry.
The Department of Molecular and Translational Medicine in the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso seeks to understand the fundamental underpinnings of human diseases, and to translate the newest research findings into preventative measures and the most effective treatments. The research in biomedical sciences is divided into four programmatic Centers of Emphasis: cancer, infectious diseases, neurosciences, and diabetes and metabolic disorders. Our scientific programs are complemented by substantial core facilities, and by a distinctive biostatistics and epidemiology unit that provides expertise in cutting-edge bioinformatics and data analysis.
