We are currently seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Postdoctoral Researcher with an organic and analytical chemistry background. The selected candidate will contribute to the fast-paced research and development of the Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (CMC) for the SynthoPlate technology. This involves the manufacturing of nanoparticles using bioconjugate chemistry, molecular self-assembly and purification techniques as well as the development and execution of characterization methods. Duties will include managing internal R&D and external contract manufacturing organization relationships. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a startup biotechnology company and participate in the development and commercialization of cutting-edge therapeutic technology.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacture nanoparticles using bioconjugate chemistry, molecular self-assembly and purification techniques
Lead analytical development and characterization using DLS, HPLC, Microscopy etc.
Correspond on areas of expertise, and manage data collection and reporting by external vendors
Maintain accurate laboratory notebook records and work with Haima’s quality management system
Analyze and interpret technical data, including statistical analysis and graphical representation
Present data at internal and external meetings
Manage and update manufacturing, batch release and analytical documents and protocols
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
Recent (<3 years) Ph.D. in Chemistry, Engineering, Pharmacology, or related fields
Understanding and experience with nanoparticle/liposome fabrication and characterization
Understanding and experience with purification techniques including Chromatography and Tangential Flow Filtration
Analytical assessment of peptides and/or lipids using Liquid Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, Gas Chromatography, and Dynamic Light Scattering
Experience working with Microsoft Office and Prism
Proficiency in data analysis, including statistics and graphical data presentation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven project management skills
