Job Description
A full-time postdoctoral position is available in a NIH-funded laboratory in the Division of Nephrology of the Department of Medicine at University of Connecticut School of Medicine to investigate the role of immunoinflammatory dysregulation in the pathogenesis of kidney injury and fibrosis. The ideal candidate will be expected to design and perform experiments, and prepare and publish manuscripts under the direction of the Principal Investigator. The candidate will work with animal models relevant to human kidney diseases and use multiple scientific techniques including flow cytometry, confocal microscope, single cell transcriptome analysis, RNA-seq, ChIP-PCR assays, qPCR, western blot, histological and morphometric analysis, and immunohistochemistry. Candidates must have a PhD or MD/PhD degree in biological science or a related field and strong communication skills. Working experience with small animal models is preferred, but not required.
