Appropriate PhD
Three years' relevant professional experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
Preferred Experience:
This position requires research training and experience in molecular biology, cancer etiology and cancer prevention studies
Previous training in molecular biology, biochemistry, mammalian cell culture and rat/mouse in vivo protocols is desirable
Techniques including flow cytometry, Western blot, real-time PCR are essential
Demonstrated ability through publications in journals of international repute
Experience in testing novel dosage forms in in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo
Experience working with diverse individuals and communities
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Good computer literacy including data-bases, standard software platforms, spread sheets and statistical analysis
Responsibilities:
Research
Conduct research on pharmacokinetics, in vitro-in vivo correlations, animal models of pathology, cell cultures.
Conduct literature searches and reviews and continue to update knowledge and develop skills.
Maintain accurate and complete records of all findings.
Generate and display the results and interpret their implications.
Present research findings to colleagues and at conferences.
Write progress reports and prepare results for publication and dissemination via presentations and the World Wide Web.
Preparation of laboratory for experiments including preparation of solutions and cleaning work areas; this may require light to moderate lifting.
Correlated Duties.
Communicate with PI, liaise with collaborators within as well as outside TAMU to ensure alignment of expectations within project objectives as well lead, influence, and enlist support to other lab members.
Actively participate as a member of a research team and attend and contribute to relevant meetings.
