Job Description
The Saenger laboratory at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine is looking to hire a post-doctoral fellow to work on an NIH funded project to develop immune biomarkers in cancer. The post-doctoral fellow will work with patient specimens to identify gene signatures for cancer progression and will work to establish co-culture models with organoids to replicate findings in vitro. The Saenger laboratory works closely with a team of surgeons, statisticians and basic researchers to identify features of the tumor immune micro-environment predictive of superior clinical outcomes. Techniques employed in the lab include quantitative multi-plexed immunofluorescence, NanoString genomic analysis, and digital spatial profiling. Dr. Saenger also directs the human immune monitoring core at Albert Einstein, providing opportunities for collaborations with industry. The successful candidate will be highly motivated. Prior experience with organoid models preferred. Knowledge of computational methods or background in biostatistics a plus.
