Job Description
The successful candidate will contribute to our program to develop methods to differentiate induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) to produce hematopoietic stem cells, red blood cells, and engineered red blood cells for transplantation and transfusion support.
Qualification: Candidates with a Ph.D. degree in biomedical science or related discipline are encouraged to apply. Strong motivation, good communication skills and the ability to work independently are required. Previous experience in relevant fields, including iPSCs and hematopoietic cell culture, xeno-transplantation and molecular biology techniques is desirable.
Job Duties:
• Plan, direct and conduct research experiments.
• Evaluate and analyze data.
• Establish new research protocols and procedures.
• Summarize research findings and publish results in research journals.
• The Bouhassira Lab is part of the Department of Cell Biology, the Stem Cell institute and the Cancer Cancer Center at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine located in the Bronx in New York City.
