Job Description
Columbia Center for Translational Immunology is recruiting a researcher at the level of Associate Research Scientist (ARS) to the Mor lab to be the leading researcher in an exciting and promising cancer immunology and immunotherapy project. The position will focus on conducting advanced cellular and biochemical assays, in vivo models, and antibodies characterization and optimization. The responsibilities of the position are to follow and develop protocols and procedures, to work independently and in collaboration with other group members. The researcher will be responsible for providing training and supporting other laboratory needs related to his project. The research will be conducted in the Mor lab space in the Black building, next to an assigned bench and desktop station and in the tissue culture room. The candidate will use core services in the University. This position will be assisted by the lab technician. 70% of this time will be devoted to performing experiments, 20% to writing reports and presenting data, and 10% to teaching and other academic duties. The position will report directly to Dr. Mor.
Minimum Qualifications: MD and/or PhD degree in Biology, Immunology, or similar research field
Preferred Qualifications: Candidate ideally will have 5 years of experience performing advanced cellular assays, facs analysis, animal experiments, antibodies isolation, and high throughput assays.
Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00
