Job Description
Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is a multidisciplinary research institution engaged in science and engineering on behalf of national security. We are seeking a 3D in-situ Imaging Sciences Postdoctoral candidate to work with our Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies Group. The project work involves the application of light sheet fluorescence microscopy and microfluidics to achieve three-dimensional resolution of biological processes in single algal cells. You will be required to perform experimental studies in optics, genetic engineering by CRISPR Cas9, instrument design, component integration and image-based data analysis.
Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in Engineering, Biology or related technical field
• Experience in optics and molecular biology
• Strong data analysis skills
• Demonstrated record of scientific achievement through publications and presentation
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Experience with Python/C/Matlab, CRISPR/Cas9 genetic engineering, various microscopy techniques and microfluidics systems or flow cytometry preferred
