Job Description
NATURE AND SCOPE:
The postdoctoral fellow will be working on several Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), National Science Foundation (NSF), and Amazon-funded projects. Preferred skills include econometric and machine learning modeling, statistical analysis, programming (Python, Gauss, R), Geographic information system (GIS), survey design, and data collection. In addition, candidates with an interest in traffic operations, crash data analytics, and safety operations, among others are of interest.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Demonstrated potential for state-of-the-art research in transportation engineering.
Successfully completing the research projects.
CORE COMPETENCIES:
Evidence of research and professional potential on the basis of past experience?
Research experience on the basis of past experience and/or on the basis of publication and scholarly records.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Recent graduates with a Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering/ Urban Planning/ Transportation Engineering-related areas are preferred and encouraged to apply.
