Postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Matthew Steinhauser, Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of the Center for Integrative Human Metabolism. The focus of the lab is on the link between adipose tissue development and dysfunction and metabolic diseases of aging including type 2 diabetes (Kim et al., Cell Metab, 2014; Chu et al. Nat Genet, 2017; Zhang et al., J Clin Invest, 2018). An additional area of interest includes dissecting the molecular and metabolic mechanisms involved in the adaptation to caloric restriction/starvation, some of which hold promise to promote longevity (Fazeli et al., J Clin Invest, 2015; Steinhauser et al., JCI Insight 2018).
