The School of Media and Communication invites applications for a Research Fellow. For the period 1 September 2022 to 31 August 2027, you will support project activity for INCLUDE+ (Inclusive Digital Economy Network+), a research network+ funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), awarded to Dr Helen Thornham. This is full time ongoing role, and from September 2027, you will continue to work within the School and support the ongoing activity of the network.
The appointee will support research activities led by Dr Helen Thornham, undertake their own research, and engage in the wider projects and activities of the Network+. They will be expected to participate in the research culture at the University of Leeds, publish, and create prototypes/digital resources. The post offers direct engagement in high quality, international research and networks within the UK and Europe.
You will have a PhD in Digital Media or related field with practical experience of coding, programming, digital methods, and/or physical computing. Your PhD thesis must have been submitted for examination by the time you apply for you to be considered eligible for the role. Experience in data collection and analysis with the ability to investigate emerging issues, including international dimensions is essential.
