Job Description
Summary
This individual will be doing a variety of biochemical and molecular analysis in the laboratory including tests for COVID-19, as well as contributions to human health and disease in the context of diabetes and human metabolism. This individual will also do a lot of database entry and basic statistical analysis. This individual should be proficient in research methods centered on cell culture, biochemistry and molecular biology.
Job Duties
- Plans, directs and conducts specialized and advanced research experiments.
- Evaluates and analyzes data.
- Establishes new research protocols and procedures.
- Summarizes research findings and publishes results in research journals.
- Maintains for laboratory operations.
- May supervise research staff.
- Participates in funded research projects.
- Assists the laboratory in obtaining additional funding.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
- No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- A strong background in biochemistry/basic immunology and human physiology.
- Previous experience in method validation, as well as database handling, will be favorably considered.
