Job Description
The McGrail lab within the Center for Immunotherapy & Precision Immuno-Oncology at the Cleveland Clinic is seeking motivated researchers at all levels. Our laboratory integrates systems-level approaches with experimental biology to discover novel therapeutic approaches and biomarkers of drug response, primarily in the context of cancer immunotherapy (McGrail et al. Science Translational Medicine 2021) and DNA damage response deficiencies (McGrail et al. Cancer Cell 2020, Fang et al. Cancer Cell 2020).

Job Responsibilities:
- Independent project design with the goal of data generation, analysis, interpretation and manuscript preparation
- Experimental data generation and analysis
- Plan and organize daily tasks associated with project goals
- Communicate results with PI and other colleagues
- Organize data results and maintain associated records
Education:
- PhD or MD/PhD required
- MD with relevant laboratory experience may substitute for PhD
Languages:
- English Proficiency proof required for candidates arriving on J-1, J-2, or F1 + OPT visa status
Work Experience:
- Previous experience in a research or academic setting. Graduate student experience meets this requirement.
- Scientific writing experience
Additional Preferred Qualities:
- In vivo mouse model experience
- Basic molecular biology techniques (western blot, immunostaining, nucleic acid isolation, etc.)
Personal Protective Equipment:
- PPE per institutional requirements; may vary by laboratory
