Job Description
Summary
Dr. Konstantin Tsoyi's lab is looking for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to work on translational research projects related to chronic lung disorders. The research projects will be focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms which contribute to the pathogenesis of pulmonary fibrosis.
Job Duties
- Performs experimental design.
- Execution of experimental plans.
- Data collection and analysis.
- Initial manuscript writing.
- Manages maintenance of animal colonies.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education Required: Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
- Experience Required: None Required.
Preferred Qualifications
- The candidate must possess a doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent). Preference will be given to recently graduated applicants with less than 1 year of postdoctoral experience.
- Experience in primary culture cells (e.g., fibroblasts and epithelial cells), routine molecular and cellular biology techniques, and animal work (mice) are highly desired.
- Fluency in speaking and writing English is required.
- A successful candidate needs to have a strong desire to learn new techniques, excellent skills to troubleshoot experiments, the ability to work independently, and effectively collaborate with other group members.
- Prior experience in respiratory biology is plus.
