Summary
A Postdoctoral Research Associate position in Biochemistry is available at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Job Duties
- Performs essential biochemistry and molecular biology techniques, including:
- cloning/plasmid construction,
- recombinant protein expression/purification,
- biochemical assay development (UV, fluorescence, ITC, etc).
- Expresses biologically important proteins.
- Develops biochemical assays to determine activity.
- Screens compounds for novel small-molecule inhibitors, which is part of ongoing drug discovery programs in the PI’s lab.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
- No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Biochemistry, molecule biology or other related fields.
