Postdoctoral research positions are available in the lab of Dr. Sunila Pradeep in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. The successful candidate will participate in a research program that characterize the role of extracellular vesicle associated proteins, and protein translation regulators in immuno-oncology and tumor metabolism related projects in ovarian cancer models.
The candidate must have experience in molecular biology, cell biology, immuno-oncology and analysis of immune cells in tumor microenvironment. Although not necessary, the ideal candidate will preferably have some experience with immune-oncology, tumor metabolism, extra cellular vesicles proteins, or oncogenic signaling mechanisms. Expertise in FACS, managing high throughput datasets, qRT-PCR, ChIP, cloning, immunofluorescence, and in vivo tumor experiments will be a plus. The successful candidate will get mentoring so that his/her career goals can be achieved. Candidate must be able to generate hypotheses independently, design experiments to test the hypothesis and present results in the form of presentations, abstracts, and manuscripts.
Successful, well-motivated candidates will join a highly interactive, interdisciplinary team of researchers with diverse backgrounds and expertise in a collaborative scientific environment. Preference will be given to individuals with these skill sets who are now completing their thesis work or 1-2 years of postdoctoral experiences and have at least one or two first author publications in peer-reviewed publications.
