Are you medically qualified and ambitious with an interest in research and cardiac imaging? Do you have experience of working in cardiology? Do you want to further your career by undertaking an MD degree in one of the UK’s leading research intensive Universities?
You will support and undertake research in athletes using cardiac MRI. The project has been funded by the British Heart Foundation to use cardiac MRI and combines advanced imaging, arrhythmia and sports cardiology. You will lead your own studies in this area, including methods development and clinical studies and contribute to the work of the research group as a whole. There will be opportunities to gain research experience in advanced imaging and sports cardiology.
During your employment you will also work towards an MD at the University of Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity if you are a cardiology trainee, especially if you are aiming to sub specialise in sports cardiology, cardiac MRI or pursue an academic career. You will be medically qualified with MRCP or equivalent and full GMC registration.
