Job DescriptionA postdoctoral position in biomaterials and tissue engineering is available in the Lee Group (https://dentistry.ucla.edu/profile/209) at the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Dentistry. We have several ongoing multi-year projects supported by NIH and DoD focused on developing new biomaterials and molecular therapeutic strategies to repair craniofacial and orthopedic skeletal defects.
The successful candidate will receive unique training in the interdisciplinary area of tissue engineering by interacting with a multidisciplinary team of investigators that brings expertise in biomedical engineering, polymer chemistry, bone biology, and animal disease models.
The ideal candidate will a recent Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, materials science, chemistry, biology, or related field with experience in polymer design and synthesis, nanoparticle synthesis/characterization, drug delivery and hydrogel systems.
