Postdoc positions: virus-host interactions on innate immunity and metabolic reprogramming
Dr. Jun Zhao’s laboratory at Cleveland Clinic Florida Research and Innovation Center (FRIC), located in Port St Lucie, Florida, is seeking 1-2 postdoctoral scholars to investigate the regulations/manipulations on the innate immunity and intracellular metabolism during tumorigenesis and herpesvirus-associated pathogenesis. Research in the Zhao Lab centers on delineating the detailed molecular interactions between the innate immune signaling and intracellular metabolic reprogramming, and how cancers and viruses manipulate such mechanisms to enable tumorigenesis and viral infection. These research goals will be addressed by multi-disciplinary approaches, including protein biochemistry, enzymology, multi-omics and relevant mouse models.
We are seeking self-motivated and goal-driven postdoctoral candidates, with a PhD or MD/PhD in molecular and cellular biology, virology or related fields. Previous experience with virus-host interactions, viral reverse genetics, multi-omic bioinformatic analysis would be a plus. The candidate should be able to work both independently and in a collaborative environment, with a strong commitment to reaching research excellence and achieving assigned objectives.
