Job DescriptionA postdoctoral position is available in the Lessard lab at the Joslin Diabetes Center and Harvard Medical School. A motivated, detail-oriented scientist is sought to work on an NIH-funded project to study interactions between metabolic disease and exercise training. The primary goal of this project is to determine how metabolic diseases that lead to hyperglycemia impact skeletal muscle signal transduction and remodeling with exercise. Experience or interest in rodent exercise studies, molecular biology techniques, and analysis of skeletal muscle phenotype and function would be assets for this position. Other desired qualifications include strong communication and organizational skills, a good track-record of peer-reviewed publications, and a high potential for obtaining external funding.
To apply, please send a CV and a cover letter describing your qualifications and research interests to Sarah Lessard (email@example.com). Please include the names and contact information for two references. The Joslin Diabetes Center values diversity and inclusion.
