Job DescriptionWe are now accepting applications for the Harry S. Truman Fellowship (in National Security Science and Engineering). The Truman Fellowship is Sandia National Labs' most prestigious post-doctoral fellowship with about two recipients each year. The Truman Fellowship provides an opportunity for recipients to pursue independent research that supports Sandia's national security mission. Candidates must display extraordinary abilities in scientific research and show clear and definite promise of becoming outstanding leaders in the research they pursue. They are expected to have solved a major scientific or engineering problem in their thesis work or will provide a new approach to solving a major problem, as evidenced by a recognized impact in their field. The Truman Fellowship is a three-year appointment and normally commences on October 1, although exceptions may be made to accommodate special circumstances.
