Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Undergraduate Year-Round Intern to provide administrative support for the Sandia National Laboratories new Postdoc Program office. We seek a professional, motivated team player to join our team. The selected student will support the Postdoc Program team in an organizational support role. On any given day, you may be called on to: + Perform routine clerical and/or computer operation activities including data entry and chart preparation + Record and maintain information in databases or other filing systems and verify completeness and correctness against established standards + Assemble reports and presentations and distribute various types of material according to established procedures + Provide routine information to requestors + Coordinate appointments, schedules, events, and activities related to the Postdoc Program objectives + Review and track post-doctoral research job postings and dispositions + Track Sandia post-doctoral researcher alumni through their early careers
You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements: + Currently attending and enrolled full time in an accredited undergraduate program + Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5/4.0 + Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer + U.S. citizenship As a condition of employment, the selected candidate will be represented by the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU), which requires monthly membership dues or agency fees. New hires into an OPEIU represented position will remain in the initial position for twelve (12) months before being eligible to be considered for other Sandia employment.
+ Completed at least 61 academic credit hours or equivalent + Good organization skills and multitasking capabilities + Good oral and written communication skills + Dependability, initiative, and enthusiasm + Experience with Microsoft Office with strong proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint + An interest in STEM applications and programs
