What You'll Be Doing:
As a Postdoctoral Fellow working in Early Discovery in the Infectious Disease and Vaccines Department you will be part of a highly collaborative team of scientists in vaccine research. You will conceive, design, and implement advanced experiments to elucidate the mode of action of novel adjuvants designed for different vaccine applications.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Design and conduct in vivo and in vitro studies to characterize and understand the effect of various adjuvant formulations on the immune response.
Understanding the molecular mechanism of adjuvant components on the immune response.
Carry out system biology studies to assess the translatability of immune responses from preclinical models (rodent, NHPs) to humans.
Interpret and present results at internal meetings, external conferences, and publications.
What You Bring:
Candidates must currently hold a PhD OR receive a PhD by fall.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Knowledge of host (human and preclinical) immune responses to infection/vaccination
Broad knowledge of immune assays (B- and T-cell assays, flow-based methodologies, cytokine/chemokine analyses)
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Knowledge of innate immunology
Systems biology approaches to understand immune regulation
Good track record of publication in peer-reviewed journals
