What You'll Be Doing:
The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will evaluate ways to maximize the value of DNA-Encoded Libraries to Drug Discovery at our Research Labs. As part of the Screening and Compound Profiling Department at our research site in New Jersey, the post-doctoral incumbent will play a key role in evolving DNA-Encoded Library Technology (DELT) through technical development and expansion into novel applications.
The incumbent will collaborate closely with other functionalities in the Discovery organization (Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacology, Modeling & Informatics), and external research institutions. In addition, he/she will present research progress at scientific conference(s) annually and submit for publication at prestigious research journals.
What You Bring:
Candidates must currently hold a PhD OR receive a PhD by fall. Preferred degree areas include molecular medicine, molecular biotechnology, molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or a related field.
Strong track record of publications
Creative and innovative when designing experiments and trouble-shooting.
Data processing and quantitative analysis skills.
Able to collaborate with scientists of diverse background
Preferred Experience and Skills:
DNA-encoded library technology or other affinity selection technologies
Experience with mammalian cells (transfection, expression, etc.)
Microfluidics or droplet technology
Experience in method development
Understanding of drug discovery
