Post-doctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Lanlan Shen at Baylor College of Medicine (https://www.bcm.edu/people/view/lanlan-shen-m-d/b1f346c3-ffed-11e2-be68-080027880ca6). The Shen lab is interested in the epigenetic mechanisms in health and disease with a focus on transcriptional regulation by DNA methylation across development and tumorigenesis. We use a combination of genomics, epigenomics, and next-generation CRISPR-gene editing approaches and a variety of model systems including intestinal epithelial organoids, and germ-free and gnotobiotic mice.
Candidates must have a recent PhD degree with background in molecular biology or a closely related field. Experiences with gene targeting, developmental biology, and/or studies of tumor microenvironment are desirable. Salary will follow NIH guidelines commensurate with training and experience.
