The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine Cancer Center invites applications for postdoctoral fellowships in cancer developmental therapeutics. Cancer Center faculty are funded by the NIH, the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT), the Department of Defense, and by private foundations. Research in the Center focuses on developing new therapeutic strategies for adult and pediatric cancers by understanding the mechanisms of resistance to chemotherapy.
Cancer Center faculty are seeking highly motivated post-doctoral fellows that are interested in carrying out research to develop novel anti-cancer drugs in the laboratory leading to clinical trials for adult and pediatric cancers. Applicants should be highly motivated, have a Ph.D. M.D., or Pharm.D, have a background in molecular biology or cell biology of cancer, and have strong publication record in the area. We are especially interested in applicants seeking to develop careers in academic medicine and the Center offers excellent growth opportunities for trainees to develop careers as independent investigators.
