Post doctorate research positions are available with the Patrick Stover Research Group in the Department of Nutrition and Food Science at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. Candidates should be working towards establishing independent research careers through conducting research, grant-writing, mentoring and publishing research findings. The Stover Research Group studies folate-mediated one-carbon metabolism in cell culture and animal models, nuclear metabolism, communication among metabolites and the genome and the development of mouse models of neural tube defects, cancer and neuropathy.
Job duties include:
• Research of folate-mediated one-carbon metabolism in cell culture and animal models, nuclear metabolism, communication among metabolites and the genome and the development of mouse models of neural tube defects, cancer and neuropathy.
• Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and laboratory supplies.
• Assist in grant writing.
• Present research data for publication and presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
Position Requires a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in the life or physical sciences.
Experience in mouse genetics and mouse development, neurophysiology metabolomics, genomic approaches, and/or stable isotope tracer studies is preferred.
