The Markey Cancer Center at the University of Kentucky is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar to develop and use mouse models and systems biology approaches to study breast cancer development and progression. The position is in the Xu laboratory (http://pharmns.med.uky.edu/users/rxu222) and under the supervision of Dr. Ren Xu. Research in Dr. Xu's group focuses on the function and regulation of tumor microenvironment in breast cancer development and progression. The successful applicants will use cell biology, animal models, and integrative multi-omics approaches (e.g. genomics, epigenomics, and metabolomics) to explore molecular mechanisms of cancer progression. Dr. Xu's group is looking for highly motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic candidates. Qualified candidates must have a PhD degree, a background in cell biology or mouse model is required. The candidate must have first author publications in peer reviewed scientific journals and effective oral and written communication skills.
