Job Description
The Ye Lab (www.libinye.com) at University of South Florida (USF)--Tampa and Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a postdoc fellow. The lab focuses on the conformational transitions, dynamics, signaling transduction of (patho)physiological and pathogenic membrane proteins such as G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), with an aim to facilitate drug discovery. GPCRs encompass the largest membrane protein family with more than 800 members and are targeted by more than one third of FDA approved medications.
We are particularly welcoming the candidates who have the expertise in cell-based signaling measurements such as BRET for drug screening, large-scale (membrane) protein preparations using yeast, insect, or mammalian cell expression systems, CRISPR/Cas9, UAA genetic incorporation, or Bio-NMR, in addition to basic molecular biological and biochemical skills.
USF is located at Tampa (FL), a beautiful coastal city with only 1 hour driving to Orlando (Disney Park). The University was founded in 1956 as a new-model research university in 20th century and categorized as one of the highest-level universities in the US (R1) by the Carnegie Foundation. USF is the fastest rising institution among all public and private universities in the United States in the past ten years, and it continues to rise.
