- Serves on departmental, college and university committees
- Participates in appropriate professional scientific, academic and service organizations at the local, regional and national level
Education
- Provides didactic teaching to professional and graduate students in their area of expertise
- Organizes, coordinates and oversees professional student pharmaceutics course laboratories; assigns, trains and reviews TAs assigned to teach in the laboratories
- Organizes, coordinates, and teaches pharmaceutics in a professional pharmacy curriculum
- Provides opportunities for students, postdoctoral fellows, and other trainees to participate in mentored scholarly researchas a means to enhance their pharmaceutical education or to obtain and complete their graduate training
Scholarship
- Develops, implements, and completes independent or collaborative scholarly teaching or research
- Disseminates new and/or applied knowledge through peer-reviewed publications
- Applies for intramural and extramural funding for scholarly activities
- Synthesizes and oversees synthesis of PET and SPECT ligands as Director of Radiochemistry lab
Required
- Ph.D., Pharm.D. or equivalent degree in a pharmaceutical sciences discipline or closely related field
- Must meet requirements to work in the United States
- A strong track record of teaching pharmaceutics and pharmaceutics lab in a professional pharmacy curriculum
- A strong track record of radiochemical synthesis of PET and SPECT ligands
Preferred
- At least 5 yr experience as an academic faculty member
- A record of meaningful involvement in the education of graduate students
- History of scholarship of teaching and/or research, with a track record of research productivity, project design and implementation
- History of extramural research funding
- History as Director of a Radiochemistry lab synthesizing PET and SPECT ligands
