Job Description
Are you an ambitious qualitative researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research-intensive Universities?
This is an exciting opportunity for a post-doc researcher to join a thriving applied health research team with a commitment to supporting and developing its members. The Leeds Institute of Clinical Trials Research (LICTR) is looking to appoint a highly motivated Research Fellow to work for 24 months (0.5FTE) on a National Institute for Health and Care Research (Research for Patient Benefit) funded study: “Improving recovery after bowel cancer surgery: Mixed-method feasibility study of a co-produced education intervention (RecoverTogether)”.
RecoverTogether is a co-produced complex intervention which aims to support patient recovery following bowel surgery. This study will assess its acceptability and feasibility of delivery in three hospitals. Using information from diaries, ward observations, interviews, and focus groups, and working closely with our Patient and Public Advisory Group, you will help us discover whether the resource is feasible in NHS practice, how it is used, and whether it is acceptable to patients and staff.
This Position is fixed for the period of 1 October 2022 until 30 September 2024.
Interviews are likely to take place w/c 15th or 22nd of August via Microsoft Teams. Please contact us if it would be difficult for you to attend a virtual interview in either of those weeks. Alasdair Dinnewell ( [email protected] ) Opportunities for shortlisted candidates to tour the LICTR offices and meet some of the project team in-person will also be available by arrangement.
