Summary
The Center for Cell and Gene Therapy at Baylor College of Medicine has an immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Associate.
Job Duties
- Collects, prepares, analyzes, dissects, and evaluates specimens and/or in vitro cell cultures.
- Performs calculations to complete research test results; collates data; performs statistical analysis of lab results and maintain notes and log or computer database; performs basic procedures for computer assisted data analysis.
- Tracks patient progress through a series of functional studies including IFNg ELISpot analysis, Luminex Multiplex Assay, DNA isolation for TCR sequencing.
- Performs data management, organizing and analysis of assay results.
- Coordinates with the research coordinator to schedule patient blood collections, processing samples, performs correlative studies, banks reference materials and compile reports for frequent updates.
- Creates research summaries in multiple formats, including spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, graphs and standard, written summaries.
- Assists in maintaining required records on equipment and procedures and assists in maintaining/cleaning/calibrating equipment used for cell processing.
- Profiles novel potential immunotherapeutic targets.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
- No experience required.

- PhD, Biological and/or Chemical Sciences
