Position Summary:
Applicants are invited to apply for an open position as a Post-doctoral Fellow in the Drori lab at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry of Yeshiva University (Beren campus) located in New York City. The position will commence in August 2022 and is funded for 14 months. A competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to full benefits.
Position Responsibilities:
The post-doctoral fellow will work on developing experimental techniques using IR cameras and microfluidic devices to image samples at various temperatures. The fellow will work on designing and fabricating new microfluidic devices (including lithography) and mentoring undergraduate students in the laboratory.
Experience & Education Background:
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in experimental Physics or Physical Chemistry and have demonstrated knowledge and experience in optics, IR cameras, temperature-controlled devices, microfluidics and lithography, and crystallization processes.
Skills & Competencies:
Applicants should be self-motivated and have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English. Research experience in development of optics systems will be a plus.
