The Sustainability Consortium (TSC) is a global organization with a mission to make all consumer products sustainable. TSC has its main offices at Arizona State University, University of Arkansas and Wageningen University and Research in The Netherlands. TSC’s multi-disciplinary team works to transform the consumer goods industry by partnering with leading companies to define, develop, and deliver more sustainable products.
TSC delivers on its mission in three main ways:
The Sustainability Insight System (“THESIS”), a performance management program that lets companies understand the sustainability impact of their products and supply chains, identify ways to improve and share results with corporate customers, consumers, investors and other stakeholders. To date, over 1,700 of the world’s largest food and consumer goods businesses use THESIS to manage products worth around $1 trillion in annual sales, resulting in 5-10% year-on-year improvement in transparency and sustainability
The Innovation Program, that creates coalitions of organizations to tackle specific sustainability hotspots that no single company can solve themselves. This spans a dozen projects across Circularity; Ecological Impacts and Emissions; Land Use and Deforestation; and Human Health and Wellbeing
The Sustainability Leadership Institute, that works with sustainability leaders to define their personal purpose, create peer networks, and work together to drive transformational systems change in their companies and industries. The Institute focusses on the emerging issues of tomorrow where new business models need to be defined, resources need to be mobilized, and new organizational and industry operating models need to be created
