Job DescriptionThe head and neck oncology lab is seeking a highly skilled, ambitious and motivated postdoc to perform a translational cancer research project. The lab is well funded by NIH. Open projects are focused on novel aspects of HPV-induced carcinogenesis in head and neck, DNA damage repair, evolution of the cancer genome, mechanisms of transcriptional dysregulation, and cancer sub-classification methods. Our group strives to integrate cutting edge genomic and bioinformatic techniques with established methods cell biology and biochemistry. The position is available for a period of at least 4 years.
Candidates must have a Ph.D., preferably in the biological sciences, biochemistry or related fields. Preference will be given to individuals who are now completing their thesis work and have at least one high-impact publication. Previous experience with basic techniques in molecular biology and biochemistry are required. Experience in statistics, data visualization, or computer programming is desirable but not required.
