Job Description
Summary
The Prasad Lab is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate with experience in the structural biology related techniques such as cloning, protein purification and expression, X-ray crystallography, biophysical methods of protein analysis, and computational techniques. Applicant will participate in the ongoing structural biology projects on virus and viral proteins, and drug discovery using X-ray crystallography, cryo-EM and complimentary biophysical/biochemical/computational techniques.
Job Purpose
Postdoctoral Associates are trainees working in an apprenticeship mode in preparation for a career as a scientific professional.
Job Duties
- Plan, direct and conduct specialized and advanced research experiments.
- Evaluate and analyze data.
- Establish new research protocols and procedures.
- Summarize research findings and publish results in research journals.
- Responsible for laboratory operations.
- Supervise research staff.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD or Ph.D in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
The applicant with experience in in cloning, protein purification and expression, X-ray crystallography, biophysical methods of protein analysis, and working knowledge of computational techniques.
