We invite you to apply for a Postdoctoral Appointment with Argonne’s Materials Science Division. The purpose of this appointment is experimental studies on the growth and characterization of solid state batteries using a wide variety of structural, chemical, and electrical characterization techniques. 

This position is open immediately and is based on renewable yearly contract. Interested candidates should submit a full CV and names/contact of three referees.

Position Requirements

We expect you to have:

• Considerable experience in UHV systems, PLD thin film growth and characterization of solid state materials.
• Experience with electrochemistry is preferred, but not required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills. 
• Ph.D. in an experimental discipline, such as condensed-matter physics, materials science or a related engineering field is required.
• To be eligible, candidates must have completed their Ph.D. within the last three years.
