Job DescriptionBuilding on exciting new discoveries in the field of tissue-based disease models by Shawn Hingtgen and collaborators, the work will focus on developing new models of cancer and testing novel therapeutic agents with the tissue platform. Working closely with our academic collaborators and commercial experts, our team discovered the ability to use living tissue slices as unique models of cancer. We are now seeking to continue the development of this novel platform, expanding capabilities, modeling new cancer types, and screening novel therapeutic agents.
Particular preference will be given to candidates with experience in culturing and manipulating cells, drug testing, small animal surgery, and use of unique cancer model systems. Additionally, general experience in any of the following disciplines is strongly preferred: cancer biology, polymer chemistry, microscopy, and immunohistochemistry. Applicants should have a strong publication record, creative thinking, effective oral and written communication skills, and good team spirit.
Candidates should have an M.D. or Ph.D. degree, or students in their final year of their Ph.D. studies.
