What You'll Be Doing:
As a postdoctoral fellow in the Pharmacoepidemiology Department based in West Point, PA, you will work with a highly collaborative team of epidemiologists, methodologists, and statisticians to design, assess the feasibility of, and conduct epidemiological observational studies in support of Oncology related projects, including but not limited to methodology projects in the area of real-world evidence and regulatory decision making.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Take part in epidemiologic research projects, including feasibility assessment, literature review, protocol preparation, study design, study logistics, data summary, and technical reports.
Perform analyses to process and summarize epidemiological data.
Prepare reports to communicate epidemiological study results to cross functional teams, internal committees, and external investigators.
Maintain and enhance professional knowledge and skills.
Present at professional scientific meetings and publish research findings.
What You Bring:
Candidates must currently hold a PhD OR receive a PhD by fall.
Experience in the successful direction of epidemiologic projects.
Knowledge and experience in the application of epidemiologic approaches including statistics.
Familiarity with secondary data sources for observational/epidemiological research
Familiarity with software packages used to process epidemiologic data
Creative problem-solving ability and strong communication, writing, and organizational skills
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Background in oncology
Quantitative methodological skills and experience in epidemiological or statistical method development
